25 spicuous. Had the Gooroo himself not been
26 weighed down by years and affliction, nor oppressed
27 with cares incident to his position ; in short, had
28 he been a younger man; there is little doubt that
29 the punishment he would have inflicted on the
30 Mus&uhnans, though differing in. kind, would have
31 been equally ample with that bestowed by Bunda.
