11 town. It is situate about a mile from the right bank of the Indus,

13 hunting-grounds for the Ameers of Hyderabad. Lat. 25° 34’,

16 Moola pass. It is just below a very difficult part of the pass,
17 where the cliffs, five hundred feet high on each side, approach
18 within twenty or thirty yards of each other, so that those in pos-
19 session of the heights above could effectually stop the progress of
20 an army, by rolling down stones, there being, moreover, no possi-
