31 Ka me Doe. 5 RAKNEE, in Afghanistan, a village situate where the Sangad
32 Tae pass intersects the Sakhee Sarwar Pass from Dera Ghazee Khan
33 to Kandahar. It is distant forty miles west of the former town,
34 and is a small place containing aboug forty mud huts; there is a
35 good supply of water from a stream, which here divides into two
36 branches, one going to Dajel, the other to Sang Ghar. There is
37 a road practicable for wheel-carriages from Raknee to Kandahar.

39 Vigne, i. 190, RAMNAGUR, in the Punjab, on the route from Chumba to
40 Kashmir, by the Banihal Pass, is a considerable town with a large
41 and stately castle, the residence of the deposed raja, and another
42 the stronghold of the Sikh chief, his successor. Itis one of the few
