32 In Rajputana and Central India there were some very
33 large increases, viz., to Bhilwara (maunds 20,632), Nimbhera
34 (maunds 4,725), Neemuch (maunds 27,858), Nasirabad (maunds
35 16,490), Ajmere (maunds 13,387), Jeypur (maunds 18,457),
36 Bhartpur (maunds 3,150), Hindaun Road (maunds 4,612), and
37 Bandikui (maunds 2,835). On the Indian Midland Railway the
38 most important increases occurred at Lalitpur (maunds 17,280),
39 Bina (maunds 5,855), Jhansi (maunds 15,965), and Gwalior.
40 (maunds 6,307).
41 In the North-Western Provinces, Agra received 1,23,028 and
42 Cawnpore maunds 1,28,030. The consignments to stations on
43 the Cawnpore-Achnera Railway amounted to nearly 20,000
44 maunds, and to stations on the East Indian Railway to maunds
45 1,65,097. Meerut on the North-Western Railway received
46 maunds 3,622; Haldwdni on the Rohilkhand and Kumaon Rail-
47 way maunds 1,102, and the consignments along the Oudh and
48 Rohilkhand Railway aggregated maunds 1,00,837. These in-
49 stances are given to show the great distances to which Pachbadra

51 salt penetrated during the year.
52 Distribution of ordinary 53. As in the case of through-traffic salt, the ordinary trade
53 naporneselt: from the salt source spread far and wide, but the greatest
54 increases occurred Agra (maunds 10,395), Bhopal (maunds
55 11,585), Bhilsa (maunds 3,938), Beawar (maunds 3,307), Jhansi
56 (maunds 2,985), and Cawnpore (maunds 2,520).
