4 realizations from the year 1870-71 (the beginning of the lease
5 of the Sambhar lake) tothe e:id of the year, which was first
6 published in the annual report for .1889-90, is also reproduced
7 complete to the 31st of March last. The treaty and royalty pay-
8 ments included in the total charges in column 3 have been cal-
9 culated in the manner shown at the foot of the preceding state-

46 Receipts exceed disbursements by Rs. 25,39,039, and the
47 stock of salt in hand at the close of the year, calculated at
48 the average selling rate of the past 24 years, was worth
49 Rs. 6,18,207. The total profit is therefore Rs. 31,57,246, from
50 which, however, the value at present rates of the 17} lakhs of
51 maunds of Sambhar salt received from the Durbirs when the
52 Sambhar lake was leased must be deducted. This amounts to
53 Rs. 4,31,250, so that the net credit balance at the close of 1893-
54 94 is Rs. 27,25,996.
55 63. The gross realizations, the fixed and contingent charges,
56 and the net financial result of the Internal Branch of the
57 Department for the year under report and three preceding years
