4 commanded by Pir Dowlat Khan, one of the
5 “Afghans of the respectable family of Kasoor ;

7 George Thomas, escorting Shah Zada Taimur ;
8 besides one hundred Sowars, and # .com-

10 as well as two companies of the British Native
11 infantry, attending his: Royal Highness as a
12 guard: of honour from that Government.
13 Two companies of regular infantry, and fifty
14 troopers of Ranjeet Singh, form an escort to
15 Sir Claude. Wade; besides forty-three irre-
16 gular Sowars, and fifty-three matchlockmen
17 entertained by. him for the same purpose on
18 the part of the Indian Government.
