10 book to be kept up, in which every plantation is to be noted; and this book is to
11 be regularly inspected along with the office and records. Tunis will apply to
12 restoration works in the Fucl Reserve Division, In the regular Plantation
13 Division of course such books already exist.

18 Flood-rogisters. on the River Divisions—I may mention that at the commence-
19 rivers. ment of the year I gave orders for the maintenance of
20 a ‘‘ Flood-Register,” in which all floods on rivers and their main tributaries
21 were to be entered, hoping that after a number of years the compilation of such
22 tacts as recorded, may be of some help to more accurate of floating seasons, &c.
