7 261. As régards the receipts in depdt of timber felled in former years,
8 Percentage of former the Jhelam and the Ravi are as usual unable to give in-
9 years’ logs received. formation ; no attempt was made to mark the year’s felling
10 on these logs, before I peremptorily ordered it in 1869-70 ; but if this informa-
11 tion cannot be given next year, it is the fault of the officers in charge.
