These have been and are being kept watered, as well as the water in the wells
will allow, but this year has been so very unusually a dry one, that wells never known
to be dry before are dry now. In addition to these, there are, in good condition,
and two years’ old, 200 mulberry trees at Akote, and about half that number
at Akolah.
Mr. Nicholetts also informs me that 60,000 trees of different kinds were

106. As regards babool buns, the district officer remarks—‘ There are no
Baboo! Buna. babool buns reserved for Government, but large
tracts of bubool trees may be met in the Mulkapur,
Mehkur, and Clncklee Talooks. There is also a large babool bun along the
shores of the Lonar Lake. The number and quality of the trees have not been
ascertained, since the bun has not boen specially reserved for Gcvernment
under the Revenue Scttlement Rules. Recent orders enjoining the protection
6f babool will before long preservelarge numbers of trees of good size and quality.
Pe operations have been undertaken in the Mulkapur, Mehkur, and Chicklce
Talooks.”’
