18 powers conferred by sections
19 4 and 6 of Act XXI of 1879
20 (the Foreign Jurisdiction
21 and Extradition Act, 1879),
22 and of all other powers en-

25 Council is pleased (a) to
26 appoint the Political Officer,
27 for the time being in charge
28 of the aforesaid tract, and
29 the officer for the time being
30 in command of Her Ma-
31 jesty’s Forces within the
32 aforesaid tract respective] ;
33 being Kuropean British su
34 jects, to be Justices of the
35 Peace within the aforesaid
36 tract ;and (4) to direct that
37 the Chief Court of the Pan-
38 jab shall be the Court to
39 which such officers shall
40 commit European British
41 subjects for trial.
