10 Before the death of Govind, it is related that
11 some of bis followers told him one day, that there
12 was a fukeer, of the Byragee caste, who'was not
13 only a great warrior, but likewise a magician.
14 They added, “ whoever attempts to sit in his
15 presence without his permission, he causes in-
16 staidly to fall down.” The curiosity of Govind
17 was raised at hearing this account of the Byragee,
18 and he determined on paying him a visit, and con¬
19 versing with him.
