16 Chloroform— is a well-known heroic remedy, which, when
17 skilfully administered (externally or internally) can be of great
18 utility. It has been recommended externally in neuralgia, teta¬
19 nus traumatic us, and chronic ulcers; with turpenrfne-ml in rheu¬
20 matism ; with gain traganth and yolk of an egg as a clyster in
21 lead-colic. Inhalations in Pneumonia. Internally with ether
22 for gouty affections of the stomach.
