14 RABAHT, properly ribat,* “an inn,” in Afghanistan, a halt-
15 ing-place on the route from Herat to Khooshk, and twenty miles
16 north-west of the former town. It is situate on the Kytoo moun-
17 tain, amidst a desolate tract, where neither tent nor fixed habi-
18 tation could, at the time of Abbott’s journey, be discerned for
19 many miles, though the grass-covered hills appear well suited
20 for the support of a pastoral population. Lat. 34° 41’, long.

22 RABAT, in Northern Afghanistan, a village situate on the
23 left bank of the Lundye river, in lat. 35° 12’, long, 71° 59’.
24 RADHWARREE, in Sinde, a village on the route from Kur-
25 rachee to Tattah, and twelve miles east of the former place. Lat.
26 24° 53’, long. 67° 12’.
27 RADO, in the Punjab, a village situate on an offset of the
28 Indus, five miles from the left bank of the main stream. Lat. 30°
