30 MEERPOOR,! in Sinde, a flourishing town near the left,
31 or eastern bank of the Pinyaree, a great branch of the Indus, and
32 on the route from Cutch to Hyderabad. The surrounding
33 country, Which is fertile, well cultivated, and productive, yielded
34 annually a revenue equal to £50,000 to the Ameer of Meerpoor,
35 the least important and wealthy of the Ameers of Sinde. This
36 town is of importance as commanding the line of communication
37 between Cutch and Sinde. Population 10,000.? Lat. 24° 45’,

39 MEERPOOR, in Sinde, a village ten miles east of Garrah or
40 Gharry-kote. Close to it is Moujdurria, a ruined city, exhibiting
