9 the Golairee Pass, from Ghuznee to Dera Ismael Khan, and fifty
10 miles west of the latter place. The road to the west is very bad,
11 and the place has no importance except from an abundant supply

15 two miles west of a large offset from the Indus, and four miles

17 luvial, and fertile, but little cultivated. The neglect of cultiva-
18 tion is more especially remarkable towards the Indus, in which
19 direction the land is, for the most part, overrun with jungle. Lat,
