15 NOWA DHERRA, in Sinde, a village on the route from
16 Larkhana to Sukkur, and twelve miles east of the former town.
17 It contains about a hundred houses, and five wells. The road in
18 this part of the route is a mere path through jungle. Forage and
19 other supplies are abundant, and there is good ground for en-
20 campment on the north-west of the village. Lat. 27° 40’, long.

27 situate about twelve miles south of Dadur, on the road to Gun-

29 NOWNEAS, in Afghanistan, a village twelve miles south-
30 west of Kabool. Lat. 34° 20’, long, 68° 59’.
31 NOWRUT, in Afghanistan, a village situate on the right
32 bank of the Turnak river, and twenty miles north-east of Kilat-i-
33 Ghiljie. Lat. 32°20’, long. 67°.
34 +tNOWSHARRA, in Sinde, a considerable town on the
35 western route from Roree to Hyderabad, and seventy miles
36 south-east of the former town. It is a great mart for rice, and
37 during the Talpoor dynasty was a principal depét of the artillery
38 of the Ameers. Lat. 26° 56’, long. 68° 8’.
39 +NOWSHARRA, in the Punjab, a village situate on an offset
40 of the Indus, and five miles from the left bank of the main stream.
41 It is about six miles north of the town of Leia, on the route
42 from Dera Ismael Khan to Mooltan. Lat. 31° 4’, long. 71°.

44 +NOWZER, in Sinde, a village on the route from Shikar-
45 poor to Larkhana, and seven miles and a half south-west of the
46 former town. There are between two hundred and three
47 hundred inhabitants. The place is supplied with water from two
48 wells. Lat. 27° 50’, long. 68° 40’.
49 NUBEESUR, in Sinde, a village situate on the route from
50 Omercote to Dephlah, twenty-five miles south of the former
51 town. Lat. 25°, long. 69° 42’.
52 NUFOOSK PASS, in Afghanistan, lies over a ridge in the
53 mountain range, rising between Sinde and the plain of Kahun.
