2 15. Under the Commissioner’s special instructions, the Superintend-°
3 ents exercise control over the Moonsiffs, and all subordinate Judicial
4 Authorities, within the limits of their Divisions.
5 16. Of these there are two—lst, The Huzoor
6 Adawlut ; 2nd, The Commissioner’s Court.
7 17. This Court has power to take cognizance of, and to pass a deci-
8 The Huzoor Adaw- sion upon all appeals from the subordinate Native
9 ve Courts.
10 18. This Court is not assisted by a Punchayet tides specially ordered
11 by the Commissioner to convene one, but the Judges may be assembled
12 by the Commissioner and employed by him as his assessors, whenever he
13 may deem such a course advisable.
14 19. This Court is not one of original jurisdiction, excepting when
15 suits are specially referred to it for investigation by the Commissioner.
16 20. The Commissioner receives appeals from the décisions of the
17 . The Commissioner's Superintendents and of the Huzoor Adawlut, either
18 oe in appeal direct, or by simple petition, through the
19 Furiyad Department of his Office.
20 21. No original suits are filed in the Commissioner’s Court ; it is how-
21 ever optional with him to take notice, in any way he may deem fit, of
22 any representation whatever which may be laid before hin?
23 21. The subordinate Revenue Officers, the Superintendents of. ‘Divi-
24 Circar lands or sions, and finally the Commissioner, decide all disputes
25 Aue: or suits connected with Circar or Meerasy lands or
26 other Revenue matters.
27 22, The Amils, Principal Moonsiffs and Superintendents are autho-

30 prescribed Talooks, Districts, and Divisions, and of
31 all other transactions whatsoever when the defendant permanently re-
32 sides, or the cause of action originally arose, within th said limits. No
