22 Three pies per maund only are charged for the services
23 rendered by the department to the purchasers of through-trattic
24 salt for receiving, marking, counting, sending to loading stations,
25 repairing, filling, sewing up, checking and loading the bags, and
26 for sealing and labelling the wagons; and after all expenses had
27 been defrayed the profit to the department for 1894-95 is
28 Rs, 15,067, the receipts being Rs. 32,6738, and the expenditure
29 Rs. 17,606. The opening balance of profit from the account tor
30 1894-95 was Rs. 80,109, and the closing Lalance at the end of
31 the year Rs. 95,176. From uncontrollable causes no steps could
32 be taken during the past year to erect out of a portion of this
33 balance a commodious iron shed for storing through-traftic
34 bags in on the Sambhar station platform, this shelter for their
35 property in bad weather being only what the through-traftic
36 traders are entitled to, but it is intended to do what -is neces-
37 sary during the current year.
