10 In the Lower Division of the Internal Branch the seizures were
11 all of the ordindry type and devoid of any noteworthy inci-
12 dent.

23 In the assault case reported from the Punjab Mines Divi-
24 sion, a peon drew his sword on his petty officer but was pre-
25 vented from using it by another peon standing by. In the
26 Delhi salt sources one Government peon was convicted of
27 stealing salt and two others were similarly convicted at the
28 Sambhar Lake. At Pachbadra the offender in the theft
29 case was a young peon whose jamadar was in the habit of carry
30 ing his savings, amounting to about 200 rupees, about his person
31 One night, finding the jamaddér asleep with the waistbelt con-
32 taining the money unfastened beside him, the temptationjproved
33 to be too strong for the peon, who took up the belt and
34 absconded. He was arrested at a neighbouring railway station
35 just as he was getting into the train and the money was nearly
36 all recovered. He got six months’ rigorous imprisonment. The
37 case inthe Lower Division was one of common assault.
38 81. The following statement shows the casualties in the
39 force during 1894-95. The Assistant Commissioner who was pen-
40 sioned, was Mr. G. A. Bradford, who retired after an honorable
41 service of 37 years, carrying with him the highest repu-
42 ation for integrity and good conduct:—
