13 On the other hand, the rail-borne trade,
14 through- trafic, as well as ordinary, penetrated to all the mar-
15 kets in the North- Western Provinces and Oudh, and in the
16 direction of Jhansi on the Indian Midland Railway, to ‘take advan-
17 tage of the scarcity and high price of Sambhar salt.

19 remark here that during the * year no change took place in the
20 .price charged for Didwana salt (one anna per maund) and
21 Pachbadra salt (one and a half anna a maund).
