4 party of Rajputs, whom Ratan. Beo had col-
5 lected from the neighbouring hills; but not
6 being able to maintain a contest with the royal
7 troops, he was repulsed with severe loss, and
8 obliged to submit. Ranjeet Deo was reinstated
9 in the chiefship of Jammoo, in return for which
10 he paid a Nazarana of three lakhs of rupees
