4 Notifications declaring Laws in force, and providing Jor Hxecutive, Judicial and
5 Police administration,
6 (Faridkot and Nabha Sectior®.)
7 No. 2925-I., dated the 28th August, 1885.—Wherens His Highness the Raéjé of Nabha and His
8 Highness the Raja of Faridkot have granted to the British Government full jurisdiction within
9 the lands which lie within their respective States, and are occupied, or may be hereafter occupied, by
10 the Rewari-Ferozpur State Railway (including the lands occupied as stations, out-buildings, and
11 for other purposes connected with the Railway within their territories): In exercise ot thie juris-
12 diction, and of the powers conferred by sections 4 and 5 of the Foreign Jurisdiction and Extradi-
13 tion Act, 1879, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor General in
14 Council is pleased to issue the following Notification :—
15 1. All laws for the time being in force in the Ferozpur District of the Panjab are hereby ex-
16 tended to the aforesaid lands.
17 2. The Deputy Commissioner of the Ferozpur District, the Commissioner of the Jullunder
18 Division, the Fingncial Commissioner of the Panjab, and the Lieutenant-Governor of the Panjab
19 and its Dependencies, for the time being, shall respectively have within the nforesaid lands the samo
20 executive powers as they may respectively exercise within the British territories subject to their
21 administration.
22 3. British Courts having jurisdiction within the Ferozpur District may exercise within the
23 aforesaid lands the jurisdiction which they respectively exercise within the said district.
24 4, Within the aforesaid lands the administration of the Police shall be vested in the Assistant
25 Inspector-General of Railway Police, or such other officer as the said Lieutenant-Governor may
26 appoint, by name or in virtue of his office, in that behalf. The Assistant Inspector-General or
27 other officer as aforesaid shall have the same police powers as may be exercised by the District
28 Superintendent of Police under any law for the time being in force in the Ferozpur District, in
29 subordination to the Deputy Commissioner of the Ferozpur District and the Inspector-General of
30 Police in the Panjab.(')

33 No. 3927-1., dated the 5th November, 1886.—Wherenas His Highness the Mahfraéjé of Patiala,
34 His Highness the Rajé of Jhind and the Nawab of Dujana have granted to the British Govern-
35 ment full jurisdiction within the lands which lie within their respective States, and are occupied, or
36 may be hereafter occupied, by the Rewari-Ferozpur State Railway (including the lands occupied as
37 stations, out-buildings, and for other Railway purposes): In exercise of this jurisdiction, and of the
38 powers conferred by sections 4 and 6 of the Foreign Jurisdiction and Extradition Act, 1879, and of
39 all other powers enabling bim in this behalf, the Governor General in Council is pleased to issue
40 the following Notification :—
41 1. All laws for the time being in force in the Hissar District of the Panjab are hereby
42 axtended to the aforesaid lands.
43 2. The Deputy Commissioner of the Hissar District, the Commissioner of the Delhi Division,
44 the Financial Commissioners of the Panjab, and the Lieutenant-Governor of the Panjab and its
45 Dependencies, for the time being, shall respectively have within the aforesaid lands the same execu-
46 tive powers as they muy respectively exercise within the British territories subject to their adiminis-
47 tration.
48 8. British Courts having jurisdiction within the Hissar District may exercise within the
49 aforesaid lands the jurisdiction which they respectively exercise within the said district.
50 4. Within the aforesaid lands the administration of the Police shall be vested in the Aasistant
51 Inspector-Genoral of Railway Police, or such other officer as the said Lieutenant-Governor may
52 appoint, by name or in virtue of office, in that bebalf. The Assistant Inspector-General or other
53 officer as aforesaid shall have the same police powers as may be exercised by the District Superin-
54 tendent of Police under any law for the time being in force in the Hissar District, in subordina-
55 tion to the Deputy Commissioner of the Hissar District and the Inspector-General of Police in the
56 Panjab.(*)
