29 Desa Singh was succeeded by his son Gooiab
30 Singh, who remained at Umritsir, and enlarged the
31 city. While this Gooiab Singh was a boy, bis
32 cousin Kurrum Singh Dooloo, governed for him.
33 On Gooiab Singh attaining the years of maturity,
34 however, he was dismissed. Gooiab Singh had
35 constant wars with Maha Singh, the father of
36 Eunjeet Singh, and son of Churruth Singh.
37 When Runjeet Singh took possession of Lahore,
38 Gooiab Singh assembled the whole Bhungee Missul
39 and was joined by Nizamut Deen, Kussoorea. Their

41 and. skirmishes took place between the two armies
